Biography
Elina Margarida Ribeiro Marinho is a researcher at the Centre for Textile Science and Technology (2C2T) at the University of Minho. She holds a degree in Chemistry (2007), a Master's degree in Medicinal Chemistry (2009), and a PhD in Organic Chemistry (2015), all from the University of Minho.
Her research interests include the synthesis of heterocyclic compounds, chemical functionalization of carbon nanotubes and graphene, and engineering biomedical surfaces for bone repair and blood-contact medical devices. She also focuses on developing new treatments for chronic wounds using biodegradable polymer matrices.
Elina has authored several peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and holds a patent. She has organized and participated in numerous scientific events and has received multiple awards for her contributions to the field.
