Abstract

Junyuan Duan Editor at IgMin Research

Our mission is to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and accelerate the advancement of knowledge across a wide spectrum of scientific domains.

Biography

Dr. Duan Junyuan, a postgraduate supervisor, was selected for the fifth-level Excellent Talent Plan at Wuhan Institute of Technology and the Hubei Province Postdoctoral Excellent Talent Tracking Support Plan. From September 2009 to June 2013, he pursued his PhD at the State Key Laboratory of New Technology for Composite Materials at Wuhan University of Technology, specializing in the liquid-phase synthesis of low-dimensional metal oxide nanocatalysts and their hydrogen production from water splitting.

After earning his PhD, he joined the National and Local Joint Engineering Research Center for High-Performance Light Metal Alloys and Deep Processing at Qinghai University, where he established a new energy materials lab focusing on the synthesis of low-dimensional energy materials and the transformation of small molecules (H2O, CO2). Between September 2016 and June 2017, he was a visiting scholar at the School of Chemistry and Materials Science at the University of Science and Technology of China, studying the preparation of metal oxide nanocatalysts and their photocatalytic conversion of carbon dioxide.

From November 2018 to November 2022, he conducted postdoctoral research at the postdoctoral station in Material Science and Engineering at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, focusing on charge transfer regulation and electrocatalytic performance of low-dimensional metal oxides. After completing his postdoctoral research, he joined Wuhan Engineering University and established the Artificial Carbon Cycle Electrochemical Research Center.

In recent years, his work has primarily involved the controlled synthesis and catalytic performance of low-dimensional oxide catalysts, and he has published 18 SCI papers in prestigious international journals such as Nat. Commun., Nat. Electron., Adv. Mater., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Inorg. Chem. Front., J. Mater. Chem. A., and Chem. Comm. He has led projects funded by the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, the Hubei Province Postdoctoral Innovation Position Project, the Ministry of Education Chunhui Plan Project, and the Qinghai Province Natural Science Foundation. Additionally, he has participated in several national and provincial-level funded projects.
